If you don't need a full loft conversion but want some light into your loft, The Loft Conversion Warehouse can install a roof window (or two or three......!). Velux roof windows are top quality double glazed windows which can be fitted for a fully-fixed price. All the materials are included complete with a purpose made flashing kit which seals the window from the elements. All roof windows are fitted within one day and so the roof is never left exposed.
All Velux roof windows pivot in the centre and rotate through 180° so you can clean the outside from the inside. There is a barrel bolt which enables you to lock the window in the cleaning position leaving both hands free.
Assessing Which Size Of Window You Need
By taking some very simple dimensions, you can work out which roof window will fit into your loft.
Please take the dimensions shown in the diagram and then note them in the relevant boxes on the enquiry page. From this, one of our office staff will ensure your choice of roof window size is correct and will fit.
A mm - Loft hatch width (clear opening)
B mm - Loft hatch length (clear opening)
C mm - Distance between rafters
D mm - Clear height between apex of loft (ridge) and nearest obstruction (usually a purlin as shown)

Interior Linings
If you are having your roof windows installed into a finished interior wall, an ideal finishing touch is a precision made lining. Finished in attractive white laminate, the lining ensures a perfect join and requires no further preparation or painting.
Your Installer
All of our installers have been trained by The Velux Co. Ltd and fully experienced at fitting roof windows into every type of roof. Certificates issued by The Velux Academy (Installation Training Program Module 1) are on display at the company's offices. All work is done from the inside of the roof and so there is no need for scaffolds or towers.
